• Hello,

we have been using this plugin for a live event with quite some success, so first of all thank you for you work!

I would like to point out a few issues/suggestions:

    1. the ajax reload of content seems to require an open wordpress session with at least a limited account. I think it would be better if the plugin could work without an open session, especially for a stand alone computer.
In any case, it took me a while to figure out why it was not working on another computer, so I think it should be at least written somewhere in the plugin description ??
    2. it would be useful to have an option to activate a recurrent full reload of the contents of the wall page. It could help in cleaning up the page from old/deleted tweets.
    3. the plugin is discarding tweets with more than 3 hashtags: why?
    4. the timestamps on tweets do not change during ajax updates, keeping the value of the first page load
    5. in many cases tweets are not showing pictures but a t.co link. Does this have something to do with the new Twitter extended mode for media contents?

    Thanks,
    Mattia

    Hello,

    Thanks for your feedback! ??
    About your suggestions:

    1. it’s a bug (a wrong spelled function name :-/ ), so I’ll solve it
    2. it’s on our plans (to remove old tweets while loading new ones)
    3. if you reach the trending topics, people (or bots) will start to spam your wall. It’s very annoying. In order to prevent this, we chose to filter tweets with more than 3 hashtags.
    4. I’ll inspect this (maybe a bug)
    5. what was your feed? I’ll try with the same request in order to solve it

    Thanks for your reply!

About point 3: maybe this could become a parameter, together with some of the other Twitter Search API options?

About 5: the wall is still online here: https://www.archaeologyandme.eu/en/twitterwall/ Please note that I removed the 3 hashtags limit and I added some text on top and an html auto reload every 30 seconds since it is running on an unattended computer with large screen attached.
I noticed yesterday many tweets with embedded photos are not coming through, and I wonder if it’s due to the automatic compatibility mode of the API call following the new extended mode introduced in Twitter in the last months.

    Thanks for your help!
