Feature request

  • Just paid for the plugin after having a go with it on MAMP testing environment. It is almost perfect. Kudos to the developers. But it could use a Featured Post section. Preferably customizable between options like grid, slider or what not ??

    Hope that’s not too much to ask.

    OK, so a little update … we are getting closer to having a grid layout option soon. As for the slider, because the site doesn’t load jQuery I think it’s unlikely that we will implement this feature for a few reasons …

    1) We don’t want to make the site load jQuery
    2) We don’t want to choose a slider and add it into this plugin as we don’t want to force third party code on this project
    3) Even if we did want to include a third party slider in this plugin, most that we have seen use jQuery so this would go back to point (1)

    Having said all this, if you know of a third party slider plugin that doesn’t require jQuery and works on Twenty Nineteen, let us know and we’ll investigate utilising it.

    In the meantime, we’ll let you know when we have implemented the grid view for featured content.

    Sorry this has taken so long. We have just pushed a new version of the plugin. You can now (when Jetpack is installed and activated) go to “Customizer – Featured Content” and choose “Grid” layout which shows the featured images of the featured posts in a gallery format.

    Have a go and let me know if this works for you!
