I see that some users are confused by the error message “jQuery Migrate Helper — Warnings encountered”.

It would be great to have an option to turn the error messages off.

I’m sure that many of us, including myself, just want to load migrate script and if it solves our problem – great. Not many clients will be willing to pay for new themes or for us to manually edit deprecated functions.

    Thank you for the plugin!

    Hiya,

This is actually intentionally, and can be “turned off” by resolving the deprecation notices.

The reason it’s so persistent is because yes, you can enable the migrate script right now, but the plan is for WordPress 5.6 to upgrade the jQuery version, and that means this migrate script will not work any more, and you will have actual breaking changes. This plugin is here to help you our for a short period while the devs of the plugins or themes you use sort out the problem, or you find a replacement if it’s no longer maintained, in cases where they had not updated before WordPress 5.5 was released.

    Makes sense. Thanks for clarifying!
