Feature request,

Hello,
this is a feature request rather than a request for support.
This plugin works as it should and has a very interesting practical feature. Overall, it deserves 5 stars.

This all works if you have a normal website. However, it does not work if you are using a plugin such as BuddyBos where you have multiple members that are able to upload an image.
Yes, this plugin can prevent anyone from uploading a duplicate image, but that is not user friendly.

Ideally, a member would be able to upload an image that is duplicated, but the plugin would be able to merge them together and leave only one copy of the image.
There is then the problem that although there is only one image, it has multiple owners. One of the owners can delete it. They may have different privacy or display levels set etc….

It would be interesting if you have some small social community. And especially if it would work for videos too, but we’re talking probably about a whole new plugin.

It would probably be quite a lot of work, but I was curious for your opinion. Good luck.
