Feature request: Add ability to select list for Customers and Abandoned carts

  • Currently, the plugin doesn’t allow using custom lists to capture contacts and forces using “WooCommerce Abandoned Carts” and “WooCommerce Customers”. I need to rename those lists but the plugin is unable to use them. I would like two dropdowns with my benchmark lists one for Customers another for Abandons to be added to the Settings page.

    I took a look at this and I’m seeing some areas of concern. Perhaps you can describe to me what all you are trying to accomplish? There might be a better solution.

    Here’s the concerns I’m finding with the suggestion:

    – Newer accounts won’t have these lists to select, causing confusion with list selection versus automatic creation, which approach gets priority.
    – More settings can make set-up difficult, should have good reasoning to expose options.
    – The abandons list utilizes the “Extra” fields to track the cart info / contents, which may conflict with usage of those fields in a different list made for a different purpose.
    – The customers list utilizes the “Extra” fields to track latest order and cumulative purchase history info, which may conflict with usage of those fields in a different list made for a different purpose.
