Been using this plugin for a while now. I love the simplicity. But I almost always have to do some kind of edit to the plugin’s maintenance.php file to suit my needs. Like for example, adding a MailChimp subscribe form.

So, it would be great if you can allow overriding the templates like many other plugins out there (ex: WooCommerce).

  • Hello @rizkysyazuli,

The feature already exists. You have to download maintenance.php, rename it to wp-maintenance-mode.php, and upload it to one of the following directories:

    • /wp-content/
    • /wp-content/themes/{your_child_theme}/
    • /wp-content/themes/{your_theme}/

    Oh how embarrassing ??

Thx for the heads up. Seems I was simply doing it wrong all this time.

Last time I tried was putting it under a /my_theme/views/ directory like the original directory structure.
