Feature Request * Can can I get some votes

  • I love this plugin, and I love the Zen Coder plugin that uses Zen Coders servers to encode everything….

    But I hate how this plugin does not use Zen Coder, and I hate how the Zen Coder Plugin forces you to use Amazon to host the files. Does not create a thumb nail etc etc etc…

    It would be pretty awesome if this plugin had an option to use my Zen Coder account.

    Anyone else ?

    I see the appeal of Zencoder and whatnot since the majority of people can’t install FFMPEG. The problem I have with adding support for 3rd party encoding is that I would have to spend a lot of time working to integrate it and it would just earn a bunch of money for that 3rd party encoder. I am still trying to figure out how to make it worth my time.

    I completely understand, although it might not work, you may consider contacting zen coder to see about some way you could get some kind of commission, not only with an affiliate link but some how if they can determine that people are using your plugin + their service that they could give you some commission for that.. No idea if that’s feasible though.

    If you had a way to contact the people currently using your plugin, you could run a couple-question questionnaire asking if people would possibly pay for this plugin if it had zen coder integrated. then this “Version” could be a premium version.
    just a thought! im about to get a dedicated so i personally wont need zen anymore so im only saying this stuff cause i think its a great plugin, one of a kind and hopefully will grow!
