Feature request: custom blurb text and placement

I’d like to customize the text and position (for example, manual instead of at the end of the post). It’d be great if we could do so without hacking the plugin code. Most plugins offer several predefined positions and a manual mode that disables auto-placements and advises about a custom php function call.
