I just scheduled sales for several of my products. The sales won’t be visible on the page until the day they’re scheduled. Some will be next week, some the week after.

Instant Indexing sent crawl requests to Google and Bing when I saved the schedule. But it would be better to send those requests the day before the sale. Is there a way to schedule the crawl requests to match the sale dates?

If not, can we request this feature?

    Hello @mesmer7,

Thank you for contacting the support.

Scheduled posts should already work as expected, they are sent to the API only when they become published, we assume you are talking about the “sale” schedule for WooCommerce products. Maybe we should consider adding support for this, but only for Bing, because Google only supports job listings and live streams for their instant indexing API.

There are existing feature requests, so we’ve added your vote to our internal suggestions lists. We’ll be sure to let you know if your suggestions are something we can introduce.

    Hope that helps.

Bing is still trying to crawl URLs I deleted 10 years ago. And I rarely get more than one or two visitors per week from them. I’m not wasting time on them. If Google doesn’t support it, it’s not worth the effort.

    Hello @mesmer7,

Google only supports job listings and live streams for their instant indexing API and that’s why we can’t implement the feature you requested for them. However, they should still be able to identify the sale’s date and price from the Schema and show the same in the SERPs.

    Hope that helps.
