Feature Request: Display past events?

    Thank you for creating the Super Simple Event Calendar plugin! It works very well for our website. After reading the FAQs, I thought I might also be able to auto-post our past events by creating a “season” and assigning them to it, i.e. [super_simple_event_calendar season=”20″]. But it returns “No events found,” even though the “season” now contains four past events.

    I’m currently adding past events to the page by hand. Is there a way to make them reappear and list them using the shortcode?

    Hi, since recently you can set a different status or multiple statuses (statii?).

    [super_simple_event_calendar season=”20″ status=”future,publish”]

    It is added to the FAQ now.

    Hi Marcel,

    I have a new request related to my post on Dec. 18, 2023 about listing past event dates. The original solution works great, and now I would like a make a small refinement to reverse-order the list so the most recent past events appear at the top. I tried adding order=”desc”, i.e. [super_simple_event_calendar season=”20″ status=”future,publish” order=”desc”], but it doesn’t work. What is the correct shortcode to use?

    Hi, with version 2.1.2 there is now a parameter in the shortcode for ordering, like order=”DESC”.

    Thanks, Marcel. I appreciate your help! After I posted this, I realized I should have created a new thread, since this one is marked Resolved. Sorry for the confusion! I will use the new thread titled “Feature Request: Display past events in reverse order?” going forward to avoid duplicate work for you!
