• Hi there,
I use this plugin for a while now and I think there is a thing that can be done to improve its usability and ease user life. I’m thinking about a status active/ inactive for a product. Basically, when an advertiser is stopping its affiliate program, the affiliate can easily adapt by disabling those products which are no longer part of an affiliate program. Another option is for the disabled products to automatically change the affiliate link with a homepage link (in order to avoid 404 errors and so on).

Hi and thanks for reaching out with the ideas! Have you tried setting the product as a draft instead of “published” to accomplish this?

    Hi there,
thx for your answer. I believe that changing the product status as a draft can be a solution but the respective product won’t be visible anymore in the catalog (yes, I created a catalog). My idea was to keep the visibility of the product and mark it with a ?? for the products which are not available anymore, with a ?? for the products out of stock, and optionally with a green dot for the available products. Anyway, this can be done manually as you mentioned above.
My workaround is to place ??? Product unavailable” in the description and change the specific affiliate link with a link directing to a category that included the respective product.
