    Hello,

I run a small record label, and sometimes it’s hard to keep up on active roster gigs and tours. Without having to let bands login to my website, it would be nice to have a shortcode to display a form on the website which would allow bands (possibly via WordPress Password Protected page?) to add their own shows to the database.

I could see it working similarly to how Gravity Forms allows WordPress post draft creation from a form.

I wouldn’t want them to have full access to the site. An alternative solution, is it could simply be a User Role that would only allow them access to a group of artists they are assigned by an admin user from the backend, and nothing else.

    Hi @guerrilladigital,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Appreciate you providing me information here.

It is not possible with GigPress, but we do have another plugin that would do just that called Community Events.

    See the plugin here:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/products/community-tickets/

One way to know if it fits your requirements is to test it out.

Let me know if this helps.

    Best,
    Abz

    Abz,

Nah, I’m good on upselling some other paid product. I’ve been using this plugin since Derek owned it. I’m heavily invested in my data. I would rather see Gigpress improved, rather than jumping ship to another paid plugin.

You see, I’m not selling tickets to shows here. I’m merely allowing the roster of bands on my label to promote their shows, outside of venue sites, facebook, social media. So paying $150/year is out of the question.

This is how I’m using it:

    https://tripleeyeindustries.com/shows/ (aggregate page)
    https://tripleeyeindustries.com/artists/guerrilla-ghost/ (artist page)

(I’m also currently using it on the home page, but I need to finesse the layout a tad, since I redesigned the site when no one had active gigs.)

    Hi @guerrilladigital,

Sorry for the delay in my reply here. Appreciate you giving me more context here.

We do not have a solution currently on what you are trying to accomplish here. However, rest assured that I already passed along the details you shared here as a feature request.

Nevertheless, I am unable to provide you an exact date for when this feature will be available or if it is possible. As our development team considers certain factors before implementing one like if a feature request has enough votes.

Have a great day, and appreciate your time and patience here.

    Best,
    Abz
