• I was wondering if it would be possible to add an expiration to the service.

Each service can enter X amount of days for how long the service is for.

An email is sent 7 days before the service expires to notify the customer that the service will expire soon along with the optional custom message set by the admin.

Once the service is expired, both the admin and the customer is notified by email that the service is no longer available and if the customer wishes to use the service again they will have to re-order it.

Would this be possible as a feature?

    Hey Seb,

That’s an interesting idea, can you give me some examples of what types of services would need to expire after 7 days?

@sebastien Dumont – I have always managed to do this using the EDD Software Licensing extension. It handles the expiration with ease as well as sending automatic notifications on whatever schedule you like about upcoming expirations.

The only downside is that you can’t specify different expiration lengths in one download using variable pricing.

IE Priority Support offered in 30 day and 1 year terms. Each has to be a separate download.
