• Hi,

I really like your plugin, as I have a large Multisite network with client sites.

This plugin has the option to manage global snippets, but they can be activated only network wide. It would be awesome, if the global snippets can be seen on individual sites and I can choose to activate them on sites, that I want to activate.

So these snippets can be edited only on network admin and if I change the code, it will be changed on all sites (of course). So I can have a collection of useful snippets, but I can activate them on a site by site basis, not just globally.

Is it possible to implement? Not technically, I’m asking you, if you want to implement this functionality in your plugin? For Multisite owners, it would be a very useful feature.

    Thank you!

  • Was just coming here to request this as well…

I combined all of our web sites into a single multi-site install specifically so that I didn’t have to maintain my custom plugins across all of the sites, and I’d like to activate snippets on a per-site basis.

Nice idea, I’ll think about including it in a future plugin release.

How do you guys think this should be implemented? An extra manage snippets menu under the Snippets admin menu which lists network wide snippets?

    I see 2 solutions:
    1. To keep it simple, under the Manage menu list, you can list all snippets, but network snippets can not be edited, just activated. Maybe they should have a “network snippet” tag before or after the snippet’s name.
    2. A separate “Network snippets” menu is also a good idea.

I personally prefer the first solution, as it would be very simple to understand and use for site admins.

Thank you for caring with this feature request!
