Everybody who lists products on Google Merchant gets crawled by them and in turn gets lots and lots of abandoned carts by the bot. I would absolutely love for there to be an ignore list based on email address. Be it on a general settings level or per-followup email; makes no difference to me. I’m tired of removing the bot from my reports because if I don’t I get bounced emails.

For the record, the bot is always John Smith with the email [email protected]

    Hello?@godthor,

    Greetings of the day!

I will forward this suggestion to our internal team. They will review its feasibility and the number of requests we receive to determine if it can be added in future updates.

In the meantime, to address the issue of bots filling in email fields, we recommend using the robots.txt file to exclude the checkout pages.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Hi?@billz88,

    Greetings for the day!

To prevent this, I suggest using Google reCaptcha on your checkout pages to block automated submissions. Additionally, you could modify your robots.txt file to restrict bots from accessing your site.

If you’re not sure how to implement these, I recommend reaching out to your hosting support team for guidance on stopping bots from visiting your web pages.

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,
