Feature Request: Job Alerts by Company

Are you using a plugin to make companies, or you just want a text based search on company name?

In a perfect world, it would me a multi select like the job type / category selectors that would let me choose a list of companies that I would like to use within my search criteria. That list would be generated from the _company_name custom field already being used within Job Manager.

However, I just realized that the “keywords” field does search against custom fields (I was under the impression it just searched the page title/content) so I guess users could just type in the name of the company there, but it’s not quite as nice as having a predefined list that multiple options can be chosen from.

@hursey013 thats correct – the search field searches all meta data.

Maybe this is something we can look into if we ever offer companies as a taxonomy for example, future feature.
