Feature Request: Keep the Default theme up-to-date

I just want to ask the webdevs at WordPress to always keep the good old Default theme compliant with current WP standards because it is still very easy to manipulate compared to something like twentyten. Keeping that theme current will allow new developers a better chance at getting a start.
