You currently have a “Run Whois” button for each row in the expanded entries in the “Live Traffic” page (wp-admin/admin.php?page=WordfenceTools&subpage=livetraffic).

It useful be useful to also have a button to lookup the IP address in abuseIPDB.

Note: I am not suggesting you use abuseIPDB in the firewall rules to decide whether to block a request, just a way to make it easier for users to find out more info the IP in question to so that we can decide whether to block it.

Since abuseIPDB is just one of many similar resources, perhaps the best thing to do would be to add an option to “Life Traffic Options” where a use could enter their preferred “abusive IPs resource”. However, since each resource similar to abuseIPDB has their own URL pattern for querying for a particular IP, implementing such an option might get complicated. Just a thought.

If Wordfence can also use AbuseIPDB to block spammers and hacker’s IP addresses, it would be great.

I wouldn’t mind WF using abuseIPDB as one part of it’s firewall algorithm (kind of like how email clients use SpamAssasin scores in deciding whether an email is spam), but I wouldn’t want it to block an IP just because the IP appears in abuseIPDB…after all, some people report googlebot and bingbot IP’s to abuseIPDB.

Agree but if the IP address present on AbuseIPDB has higher ratings, then it can be used for blocking.
