Hi, I would love to have the option of a listing end date for the directory. By that I mean that all of our listings expire on 31st December each year regardless of when they are created or renewed. So for example we open applications in November 2023 for listings that will expire on 31st December 2024. Applications and renewals close in February 2024 and I then need to go to every listing and change the end date to 31st December which as you can imagine takes a bit of time. So, if I could set the date instead of 365 days that would be great!

    Hi @azure11

Thank you for reaching out about this! You can make bulk changes to the data in your directory by using our CSV export-import process. We’ve outlined that in our Knowledge Base here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/how-do-i-do-mass-data-changes-in-the-plugin/

Be sure to run a small test before making changes to all of your listings so that you can notice any difficulties that may arise during the process. We have a great list of FAQs and troubleshooting tips in the article here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/csv-import-export/

    That should get you started!

Hi and thanks. I did try the export/import function but it kept coming up with an error message for invalid date. I looked at your troubleshooting tips and changed the date format which then allowed me to import one test row but it didn’t update the expiry date. I then saw on my own site that the date had to be formatted in reverse so I did that. Then I realised that even though I hadn’t changed other dates on the listings I still had to reformat those as well as (for example) the published date changed itself to today’s date. So the long and the short of it is that I’m not willing to risk importing data that may change when I update the csv file (i.e. I also noticed that my phone number had the leading zero removed). The amount of checking I would need to do makes me think I might as well go through and manually change the expiry dates as that is a much safer option and I am guaranteed there would be no other changes made! Thanks anyway.
