• Hi there,

Any chance to add member demographics in the reports? I can’t believe MemberPress won’t let me know, at the bare minimum, how many members are in which country. This would be quite useful in informing future marketing efforts / retention efforts.

    2 more ideas:

    • Ability to drill-down to ‘state’ level. I run webinars for my members, and knowing what percentage of the members are on the US East coast rather than West coast would help me decide on the timing of these webinars.
    • Add member age or age brackets to the report. Again, useful to know if more of my members are millennials or retired.

Of course it would be great to have the above in the free plugin, but I am considering the premium version (waiting for that youtube video or at least screenshots to see what the Churn reports look like).

    Thanks!!

Thanks for the great suggestions @nicolasremy

Indeed, I would find that useful as well. Here are my initial thoughts on this:

    1. First issue is dealing with how we get their location. MP by default doesn’t ask user for location information upon sign-up. So perhaps we could call it a geo-login report. Where it tracks location by their login IP. I do see existing 3rd-party extension already like this one. Problem is this only tracks location info for users that actually login.
    2. If you really just want location report for all users (regardless if they log in or not), maybe we can go by their sign-up IP (if that’s being tracked).
    3. We could probably provide the country report for free version. And then pro version will be able to drill down by a regional level (state, province, etc). But definitely not down below that.

Lots and lots of little things to think about.

    Hi @treeflips

    Thanks for your reply!

Perhaps an easier approach, or maybe a first step, would be to get the country/state information from the WordPress>Users list. As a MemberPress user, I do get this data populated for every user who purchased a paid membership (all my memberships are chargeable).

For other site owners, this would mean they only get the data for the fraction of their users who are paying, but that would already be useful, and provide higher certainty on where the member usually lives (with sign-up IP, you could be collecting the location where the member was vacationing).

    Cheers

    Nicolas
