I’m using Events Manager 5.9.5 by Marcus Sykes. It publishes an RSS feed of events, which I want to pick up and turn into posts (which are then auto-emailed to all subscribers).

This *mostly* works with CyberSyn but there is one problem with duplication control: recurring events (i.e. a monthly meeting or annual holiday) have the same GUID and title.

Would there be a way to add post date to the duplicate matching criteria so that even if the GUID and title match but the post date is different, the post is validated as new?

Go to CyberSyn. Find the “RSS pull mode” pull-down menu. Switch it to “by cron job or manually”.
