    Hi,

the latest ruling of the european court of justice declared that all, non-functional cookies (as ga-tracking) need to be disabled by default and only enabled after the user gives consent.

Several cookie-banner plugins allow checking the consent state by a function or allow to enable/disable code in their options.

Is there a possibility you can add an option that checks if there is user consent?
Please take a look at how the plugin “cookie notice” implements it, with cookie notice you can use cn_cookies_accepted() to get the state.

Thank you for considering this so we can continue using your plugin in europe.

    Kind Regards,
    Chris

    Howdy Chris!

    Thanks for mentioning that!

I’ve created an issue for our developers to look into regarding this and will keep you updated.

Please also keep an eye on the changelog for the plugin here for more details when a new version is available.

You can follow along there for progress. ??

I’ll close this thread now, and you can reply on the Issue itself if you would like to add anything else.
