The Visibility settings are actually duplicated in Gutenberg. Each block menu has a setting, and the sidebar of each block has the visibility settings, which are divided into 2 different panels – Responsive and Advanced.

To make things cleaner (at least for me), is there a way to optionally remove the visibility settings from the sidebar and only have them available from each block’s menu?

Or, at the very least, rename the Responsive tab to Visibility and move all 5 visibility settings in to this tab.

    Thanks.

  • @nick6352683 Thank you very much for your suggestions. I’ll see what I can do to fix this issue. Would you mind letting me know what blocks plugin are you using? I can disable the “Responsive” panel to those blocks that already have them. Thanks!

I have over 40 custom build blocks made with ACF Pro. I wanted to have the option to disable all the visibility settings from the inspector (sidebar), but after your reply, I think it’s best for you and I, if I just “eliminate” things with some simple CSS magic !

For what is worth, talking to some of my customers, when using complex plugins like kadence for example, that their blocks have many panels, having these extra settings in the inspector, which are also readily available in the block’s menu, makes things confusing and cumbersome to some…

Thanks Jeffrey, this is one of my go to plugins!

@nick6352683 I’ve synced the Responsive Panel to EditorsKit Settings. Just uncheck Devices and it” automatically remove the panel. Let me know how it goes and thanks a lot for the suggestion ??

    Thanks Jeffrey, but…,

I am not trying to disable the ability to display the blocks by device type. I ONLY want to hide the Responsive panel from the inspector, since I can also access it from the block’s menu. So I want to see the devices in the block’s menu choices, but not the actual panel in the inspector (right sidebar).
