Feature request: options to disable stats

    I like the simplicity of this plugin, thanks for your effort to make this available for free.

    From my understanding, there will be a database request(via update_option) for every spam and it may affect performance for a site that gets too much spam. You could add an option weather to enable/disable the stats count. I’m willing to give a good rating if this option is added.

    Ya. We use update_option to record the spam count. However, it does affect much regarding the performance as it is wordpress common used function.

    Adding the setting, we need to store it in another option in database and need to retrieve it to check if the recording option is enabled or not. So it will be using same resource or more when stats count recording is also enabled.
