Feature Request: Retain Icons on Update

    Hello.

    Your plugin is simple and does what it says but I do have a request. Can you please change the way the icons are handled so that the icons do not get overwritten every time there’s a plugin update.

    As per your install instructions now:

    Optional:

    If you want to change the icons please put yours in the images folder and name them exactly like the already existing files.

    This results in custom icons being overwritten every time the plugin is updated and I have to re-copy my custom icons back to the folder.

    My suggestion is to add an admin panel option where admins can add URLs to their custom icons. Then “IF custom-icons-url EXISTS – Use Custom Icons. IF custom-icons-url EMPTY – Use Default Icons.” That’s a quick and easy way of taking care of it without getting crazy.

    Hey there,

    this is actually something i’ve come up with too and you can rest assured that im more than willingly to make such an interface. However this might still take some time as im not that familliar with WordPress.

    I have a working revised copy I can send you. Little too much to copy/paste into the site here but it should be a good starting point for you to expand on this plugin and keep it alive as I know so many BBP users want this capability.
