• Having messed with lots of ecommerce platforms it seems like the thing that holds WordPress sites back from “true” credit card processing is that WordPress (being a blog program) is not designed to switch back & forth between SSL and non-SSL pages, and does not have any native “checkout pages”. So, the only way to process a credit card is to redirect (if it’s even offered by the user’s bank and supported by a plugin) to your merchant bank gateway and then back to your WordPress web site. Any future plans to streamline this sort of thing? If you could, it seems like it would open up a lot of opportunity.

    Thanks
