• I would like to propose an additional feature: a direct link to the synced Tumblr post for each crossposted WP-post on the WordPress Post List (Admin >> Post >> All Posts). It may be posited below each crossposted Post Title, together with the default links “Edit - Quick Edit - Trash - View“. Also, the feature seems important for an admin to check the Tumblr post of a crossposted WP-post without entering Edit feature and updating a wp-post to make the link to Tumblr post appear.

Agreed. This is now implemented in version 0.7.16. ?? Update at your convenience. Lemme know if there are any problems.

    Ah, great! Thank you! ??
How about minimizing the text length from “View post on Tumblr” to only “View on Tumblr“/”Crosspost“/”Tumblr“/something else? Because there might be plugin users who have already had several additional links there; so shorter text means a simpler and cleaner look. Besides, this is a plugin and a user would surely know the meaning of only one/two unique words that indicate a link as a feature of this plugin.
Also, how about adding the same link on Post Edit screen? The link may be posited below the Post Title Edit box, alongside “Permalink Edit“, “View Post“, and “Get Shortlink“. The text may be “View on Tumblr” or something else. It will make an admin easier to check a crossposted Tumblr post first before making edit/updating a WP-post.

I think I’m going to leave things as they are. Shorter texts may provide a “cleaner look” but they aren’t self-explanatory. The post editing screen is for editing, not for viewing cross-posts.

    Ah, OK, doesn’t matter ??
I’ll leave my above suggestions as they are now. You may reconsider them someday.
Anyway, thank you, this plugin means a lot!

    Hi,

I rethought adding a direct link to the Tumblr post in the WordPress Edit Post screen. I didn’t like it in the main WordPress edit area but I did like it in the Tumblr Crosspostr meta box. So, I’ve rolled that change into the current version I just released today, version 0.7.17 (which also includes a bugfix for users who have enabled Tumblr sync’ing).

Thank you again for your suggestions.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reconsideration!
I’ve updated the plugin and I’m enjoying the new feature.
    Good work!

    You’re welcome and cheers,
    +Morgan
