Hello, I am new to the forum and using WordPress for a few months, I would like to request a few features. My English is not very good so excuse me for any mistakes. I think my feature requests are easy for developers, I know WordPress is a free open source CMS, I wish I knew coding, I wish I could help you guys, but I can’t.

1- Built-in Xml and html sitemap feature. ( I think it must be easy since I saw this code here link below and it really works!
    https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/15218/how-to-generate-update-a-xml-sitemap-without-plugins)

(And I do not want to use plugins adding links to their websites for this simple feature.)

2- Built-in ability to delete all revisions, or enable – disable revisions altogether. This feature also must be easy for developers, I mean give this feature to us, so we can disable them or if we want to use we can enable.

( I do not want revisions to put burden on my database, and currently there are lots of backup, restore options for WordPress, so I see revisions feature very unnecessary, maybe only one previous revision of a post makes sense. Everytime I edit, revisions come and there are too many of them, so confusing and unnecessary.

3- Feature to completely enable disable comments on all site, I use a plugin but still this feature should not need a plugin.

4- After 4.7 and 4.7.1 update RSS feeds are not working.

5- Ability to disable xmlrpc, since I get lots of attack to this feature. ( Currently using a plugin to disable it.)

6- My final request. A feature to change /wp-login.php to something we like to prevent bruteforce attacks. When we change it, I would like attacker get 404 error.

Everyday I get at least 50 attack to /wp-login.php.

Thanks everybody, thanks WordPress community. ??
Btw, I posted this on wordpress.com by mistake. Google directed me to there, sorry.

But what you have described isn’t for WordPress core. Everything you’ve described above is intentionally left to be used as a plugin. The features you have requested may be what you want but does not apply to the majority of users.

Why don’t you want to use plugins? That’s a more supportable solution than trying to add features to WordPress core.

Why did I get 502 error for a few minutes? My account blocked? Did you guys think I am a spammer or…?

“Why don’t you want to use plugins? That’s a more supportable solution than trying to add features to WordPress core.”

Plugins makes WordPress vulnerable to threats and it slows down the site, also some plugins steals privacy info… When I check my server log, I can see some attackers search for some plugins, they target at those plugins. Am I wrong?

You say even enable – disable revisions intentionally left to be used as a plugin?

And attacks on wp-login.php? It’s a common issue.

I can tell these by using WordPress only for two months.

It’s because the forums have many components and sometimes you get a 502. It doesn’t mean someone thinks you are a spammer. I get those too.

Plugins makes WordPress vulnerable to threats and it slows down the site

    That’s not at all true.

Plugins are just PHP code just like WordPress core. A plugin has nothing to do with slowing down WordPress and they do not make WordPress vulnerable.

    Yes. ??

    With a common solution.

Changing the location of wp-login.php makes your site unsupportable. It also creates more work for your WordPress installation when the problem needs to be addresses on either the web server layer or the host layer.

You can rename it with a plugin if you like but again, that’s not a feature for core.
