Feature requests: circular marker and clustering

  • Hi Joe. Thanks for a really great plugin. A couple of extras that would be useful:
    1) A circular marker (as opposed to a pin). All the available markers have to point to a precise location or address. A circle without a pointer is useful for things that aren’t located in just one small spot, such as circular cycle routes.
    2) marker clustering – useful when a map with a large number of similar markers is zoomed out

    Hi D’Arcy,

    Glad you like the plugin and thanks for the feedback. I completely agree on both points and I have actually worked on these a bit already.

    However these changes involve quite a bit of work and I haven’t had the time to dedicate to them recently. I will try to look into this soon will update this thread if I have something ready to release, as I will need some testers!

    I have put up a beta version of Waymark, which includes new Marker shapes and sizes (as well as some other improvements). You can read about the changes and download the release here.

    If you are able to test the new Media Library Uploads feature too I would be very grateful ??
