    Hi,

    Thanks for this great plugin!

Would it be a simple addition to add a download link to the modal window in addition to the ‘view’ link that takes you to the listing screen? That would cut down the steps needed to get the zip file, but the listing page would still be there for historical files.

In my case, it’s only certain images sizes that I want to download. I’m resizing images to be used in emails, so I only need the image sizes that I’ve registered. The original isn’t needed as I’ll be uploading to the media library and then downloading the scaled/cropped file to use directly.

Would it be possible to add some kind of filter to remove the intermediate images checkbox in the popup and specify which sizes should be included directly?

Do you have the plugin repository for pull requests?

    Hello! 2 good suggestions ??

I’ve had a quick look and at first glance it shouldn’t be hard to implement something perhaps not perfectly user-friendly but quick to do:

    • A filter on the intermediate image sizes
    • A filter on whether to include the original size

So for your use case you would have to have the include intermediate images sizes option set as default and then you could filter your sizes and exclude original.

As for immediate download link I think that’s pretty straightforward too.

I could probably look at doing this in the next few days but if you’re keen to have a go yourself the repo is here https://github.com/jlad26/bulk-attachment-download

    All the best

    Great!

I had a further play around and used EWWW to limit the width of uploaded files to the max I want and then cut out one of my custom images sizes as the ‘original’ becomes the same.

A filter would still be handy though as the thumbnails are needed for the gallery preview, but not that helpful in the download.

I will try and have a stab at it at the weekend!

    Regards,

    Hi

Been working on this just now. Almost done but out of time today. Just need to test a bit and release a dev version for you to try – almost certainly tomorrow. Just letting you know so that you don’t waste time working on it in parallel ??

That’s awesome. Thanks for letting me know!

Development version available for download here https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/bulk-attachment-download/advanced/ (bottom of the screen) or here https://github.com/jlad26/bulk-attachment-download/tree/dev.

There are examples of how to use the filters here https://github.com/jlad26/bulk-attachment-download/tree/dev#what-filters-are-available.

I’m sure you know all this, but just in case, steps to follow are:

    1. Download the dev version zip file from one of the 2 links above.
    2. Uninstall the current version of the plugin from your admin.
    3. Install and activate the dev version by choosing Add new plugin > Upload plugin from your admin.
    4. Reset your settings for the plugin in Settings > Media (they get wiped when you uninstall).

Let me know what you think !

    Great !

New version released on the WP plugin repository. Not sure if yours will update automatically or if you have to uninstall and reinstall from the plugin repo.

Thanks for the suggestions and the review ??

Thanks for the offer much appreciated – but no need not worth it from my side to set that up. The positive review is thanks enough !

I can confirm the plugins updated after the new release.

If you ever change your mind, a PayPal address would do.

    Thanks Again!
