Feature suggest: donation for authors

Actually, it’s something you can do, but it needs a bit of coding. What you’ll need to have is a donation form for each author. You can read more about creating forms using GiveWP here https://givewp.com/documentation/core/give-forms/creating-givewp-forms/.

Then, you could create a custom field for each author where you would place the link to that author donation form. This custom field would need to be added to the author bio, for example. Or you could even add the link to the donation form in the author bio, so you do not need coding.

Then, every time a person clicks on the link of the author’s bio, the user is redirected to the respective donation form.

Yes, it’s totally clear, thanks a lot for these details!
However, my idea was to simplify and “scale” this feature, by adding it via a simple value field in profiles that authors fill out or not according their choice. When the author mention it’s paypal adress for instance, it’s automatically adding the donation form into his articles and author page. It would be a great feature to incent authors to publish and readers to donate them:)
