Feature suggestion: Asynchronous Javascript

  • This is a great plugin and it works very well on our site.

    But we are receiving a lower score from Google PageSpeed because the Javascript does not load asynchronously:

    Your page has 7 blocking script resources and 7 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.
    None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML.

    Maybe you could add a feature similar to the plugins “WP Deferred Javascripts” or “Asynchronous Javascript” that would enable us to choose which scripts can load asynchronously so they don’t slow down the page?

    Yes this has been on my to-do list for a while, 1.3.4 will probably has this feature :-).

    That’s great, looking forward to it! Any idea when that version will be ready?

    Also, you should update to show plugin compatibility with 3.9.1. ??
