I create articles that are a mix of content and shortcodes. On my website, the shortcodes are rendered to output as expected.

However, email subscribers see the shortcodes and not the content they output. Is there a way for Jetpack Subscriptions to render shortcodes when sending mail?

    Hi @mbrailer,

The Jetpack Subscriptions feature will render some shortcodes when sending emails, however only shortcodes that are supported by Jetpack and WordPress.com will work.

Other shortcodes will result in the plain text display you’ve noticed (such as theme or many third party plugin shortcodes).

The best alternative at this stage is to customize the content that is sent out in the subscription emails. There is more information on how to do this in the FAQ section here:

I realize it’s not the answer you are looking for here but I hope that helps.

Thank you! That FAQ had a good suggestion, and thank you for posting that.

I can put a MORE tag ahead of any content I don’t want to go out in mail, then after the post publishes and the mail is sent, I can remove the MORE tag. Easy enough.
