• Hi everyone,
as I explain in the title, articles (posts) on my website don’t show up as featured anymore. On the homepage all the posts look the same, whereas the first one, for example, is a featured post so it should look different.
I tried disabling all my plugins but it didn’t change anything. I also changed my theme and it also didn’t work. I’m using the Riba Lite theme.

    Any idea?
    THanks!

  • There is nothing in WordPress for “featured articles” or “featured posts”. A theme might supply an option to treat a category differently, but that is unique to that theme. I suppose there could be plugins to do that also.

If your site used to have that and now it doesn’t, figure out what changed since.

Thank you for answering. My previous theme (Resonar) used to have this feature. I think the theme I’m using now, Riba Lite, has it too, since I see the option in the articles. Also, if you scroll the theme’s demo homepage, you can see that there is a “featured post”.

I don’t understand why the articles that I flagged as featured don’t appear like that.

If it was part of the old theme, the posts are marked the way that that theme wanted. The new theme might have a similar option, but implement it in a different way, so the articles aren’t considered “marked as featured” for the new theme.

Ah, ok, thanks! I didn’t know this was a possibility. So I imagine the best thing would be to ask in the theme’s forum…
