• Hi,

I’m interested in having a full width featured image for my posts, with an optional parallax effect. Much like the cover option in Gutenberg right now. Is this possible with Astra? Basically a full width cover image above the post title.

    Thanks!

  • Hi @pookeyblow,

If you wish to make the feature image as full width feature image with parallax effect, then it can done with Page header module which is available in Astra Pro.

You can check out the page header documentation about Page header.

Thanks for the reply! That’s kind of a complicated and time consuming process, when you already have a cover image option in Gutenberg. I wish Astra had the possibility to add a top cover image right into the Gutenberg post editor, above the title. Are there any other themes which lets you have a cover photo at the top in a blog post?

    Hi @pookeyblow,

As of now Gutenberg and our free theme does not have such feature to make feature image full-width.

The only way to do is with Page header feature module.

Just to let you know that Gutenberg is evolving and we hope soon the Gutenberg guys would introduce such feature in future.

That would be very cool. Any way to contact them to make a suggestion? I’d like to push them in that direction.

    Hi @pookeyblow,

Yes, you can suggest Gutenberg guys from this link: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues

    Hope this helps!
