Featured Dealer not showing up first in results

  • I need to add a featured dealer to my store locator. I have followed all the steps in the documentation here:

    I went through each step, copied it and pasted it in my functions.php file. When I search for the zip code that my featured dealer is near it does show up. And the class is added to it, and the styles are coming through fine. But it does not show up at the top for all search results. I’m not sure why.

    This is the address that is my featured dealer:
    ISCO Industries 100 Witherspoon Street 2 West Louisville KY 40202 US

    as you can see, I added a custom gray background to it (that is the only thing I changed from the documentation, the background color). But it will only show up if I type in the zip code it has.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Can you flush the transient cache on the WPSL settings page ( tools section ), and see if that makes a difference?

    I tried, but unfortunately that did not fix it. I also tried it with the option of “load locations on page load” both checked and unchecked.

    It does work if you search for the exact zip code? If you search for address + city combination, then that doesn’t work?

    Yes it will come up when I search for it like that. Should I remove my start point address perhaps?

    Actually I can’t remove the start point but I did make my start point my featured dealer. But it still won’t show up first if I search another zip code or something.
