    ok,I try to explain….

For now, there are two ways to view a post:

1.view a post in a post list page, but what we can view is just the excerpts of posts.

2.If we are interested in a specific post content, we have to click the title of a post, and jump to the archive page, and we can view the full post content, and wpDiscus support to comment only in this status.

But, just think about, why not to support to comment in the above 1 status? that means it should support to comment before users enter the post achieve pages, why? the reason is quite simple: for convenient, we alway can learn enough information and we have judged which post we would like to comment after just read the excerpts, also the most important is that the post become more and more short, people are tired to read a long article, just think about how long you have not read newspaper, as we are in the times of information explorsue, so people are eager to learn more within limit time.

This is why twitter and Facebook grow up so quickly, short but convenient to post and comment, this is interact and social. so they all support to comment and share a topic directly in the topic lists page.

In wordpress, the most active sites are social sites, not traditional blog or magazine sites with long articles. so how to support comment in a post topic list page but not jump to detailed post page?

Maybe there are two ways, one is theme support, but there are so manny theme developers, they are all technicals, not marketing experts, it is not impossible for all of them to study why they need add this feature into a theme.

Second way, support this feature by plugin, so why not add this feature into wpDiscuz? I have to say this is just the opportunity for wpDiscuz.

Where to add “sharing, comment, like button “? it should be customed to located below post title, author, excerpts…well you are good at this.

    Have a nice day.

    1. The problem and limit come from WordPress. There is no way to initiate comment template on archive/category page. Comment template only work on a page where it finds unique PostID, e.g. single, post, page, product, attachment. There is not post unique ID on a category page.

    2. The second issue is UI/UX. Please imagine how long will be a category page with dozens of comments under each post excerpt. The comment pagination will also be a big problem on this kind of pages.

    3. That page will be loaded during minutes. If you have hundreds of visitors, this kind of pages will overload your server.

    4. Most of commenters only comment after reading whole article. If you don’t know the whole content how are you commenting. your opinion in comment may be wrong very oft.
