    Hi,

Thanks for your feedback. It’s a good idea. I’m planning to create an admin interface for additional settings. Maybe I should add an extra box for the edit post page for this..

Currently you can overwrite the generated image. Easy to find, just right click on the preview image for get something like this:

    https://yoursite/wp-content/uploads/date/yourimage-gifpreview.jpg

Make your own preview and upload to your server to the same path.

I’ve been updated the preview image url, please find:

    https://yoursite/wp-content/uploads/date/yourimage-gap.jpg’

Sorry for the delayed reply, does it work now with featured images? Still can’t see any *-gap.jpg files.

    LE.
Hm, might be related to Photon, I’ll have to check it out.

    LE2.
Yup, that was it. Photon (Jetpack) added the resize parameter and the plugin did not recognized the image as gif.

    I’ve also added post_thumbnail_html filter.

Glad to hear you could fix it. I never tried Photon plugin, I’ll have a look. And also I’m going to add this filter to the next release, thanks! ??

No problem, one other thing. I’ve noticed that gifs are preloaded automatically even though I don’t view them. Is that something intentional? Would help a non-minifed version of gapplayer.min.js
All gapParams are set to no.

    Thank you.

Images preload on desktop browsers but not on mobile. Somebody said loading gifs are slow, so I decided this way, because preload huge images on mobile network is not very nice. Btw I’m open to any other suggestion ??

You can find unminified version of the js here: https://github.com/SubZtep/gif-animation-preview/blob/master/gapplayer.js

It’s probably a good idea so I’ll leave it this way. An option to disable or enable this would be nice though, maybe some users have limited bandwidth.
Thank you once again for the fast reply.

this plugin is shit.. nothing work correctly..
