Featured Image

    I’m looking at this from many different ways. I have created a ticket with my theme creator, with wordpress and now i’m going to also ask NextGen.

    I’m experiencing an issue in WordPress 3.5 of being able to set the “featured image” of a post with a NextGen Gallery image. The image link displayed is broken. I understand that this can be part of the theme, could be core functionality of WP (featured image), or might even be the new media functionality in WP3.5 and the NextGen Gallery plugin.

    I love NextGen Gallery as it works perfect for my photography workflow. Using LightRoom and then 3rd party plugin to create and update galleries in WP. I can then quickly add galleries or albums to a page using shortcodes!! The only part that is causing me some issue is the Featured Image on a Post, it seems that when go to “Add Media” button above the content editor for the post and select my NextGen gallery and “show” the image and “Set as featured image” – it gets set correctly in the Featured Image widget, when i then update the post and view as a normal user the post displays a broken link.

    My workflow works perfect except for setting the “featured image”.

    Becuase i’m having issues with explaining all the issues i have seen with setting “featured image” i’m planning to create a YouTube video to explain my issue and show the issue(s).

    Please let me know if my experience is something that is known about?
