Featured Image

Hi @micdt,

You can remove the featured image inside the site editor. The instructions below should get you there.

1. Go to Appearance → Editor.
2. In the left sidebar, click “Templates” and then “Single”.
3. Click the site preview to the right, and then click on the “Post Featured Image” block (the gray box) in the editor to select it.
4. Hit backspace, or click the button with the three dots and then the “Remove Post Featured Image” option.
5. Click the “Save” button in the top right to save your changes.

Let me know if that does it.

thanks a lot for the quick reply.

I tried that before, but this eliminates the image I want to keep – the one below with the rounded corners with a caption.

I don’t understand why and how the larger one gets pulled in and I cannot prevent that.

I just made the site accessible so you can use the inspector.

Hi @micdt,

As far as I can tell from the page markup, the second image with the rounded corners (on this post, for example) is part of the post content, not the featured image, so it should still be output even if the featured image block is removed inside the Site Editor.
