Featured Image Caption/Credit

  • Hi-

    While I can create a caption giving credit to a photographer artist on a Media Image in a blog post, I cannot do this for the Featured Image. When I type something into the “Caption” area of the edit image and then update, there is no caption.

    What can I do here?

    hi Greg,

    Sorry the theme doesn’t support captions on featured images, however you can use caption on images inserted into the post body.

    You can perhaps do something simple as mentioning the author in the post text
    *featured image by xyz

    You can also do some custom HTML + CSS if you are familiar with WP development and add caption to the featured image via a child theme – you will need to override the default single.php file with the one copied into your child theme folder and make changes to that.
