• Hello?OceanWP authors,

I was customizing my website; when came in Blog entries option, in Elements Positioning section, I enabled the Feature image item. I clicked again on it to disable and it disappears ; same in Meta section. I tried to make it come back but I found it anywhere. As consequences, all posts in my blog do not have featured image.

Others item like Title, Content, etc. seems to disappear also when clicking on them. I am taking big care to not click again on them.

I am asking for your help to solve the issue if possible.

    Thank you in advance !

  • Hello @djintelbe,

How can we replicate your steps to arrive at the issue on a fresh WordPress installation?
I couldn’t replicate the issue you raised, and no other users have reported a similar issue.

In the meantime, if possible, perform a basic troubleshooting checkup method and make sure the issue is related to our theme or plugin(s). To do this, deactivate all other plugins, then activate them individually and check for this issue. Continue doing this until you find out what product is causing a conflict with our product.

Please note that if you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes.

    Please keep us posted.

    Hello @shahin,

Thank you very much for your reply.

As you suggest, I performed a troubleshooting checkup and indeed, there is a conflict with Tutor LMS plugin. ?When disable that plugin, Feature image item appear and I can enable or disable it, even other items. So what would you suggest I do to resolve the conflict?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello @djintelbe,

Please tell us how we can reproduce the issue on a fresh installation,
I installed “Tutor LMS” plugin and couldn’t see any issue on my end.

Also, you can get in touch with your third-party plugin author; Maybe they have a solution that we are not aware of.

    Best Regards

    Hello @shahin

Thank you again for your reply.

Please go to Appearance / Customize / Blog / Blog Entries (or Single Post) /. From there put Blog Style section in Large Image option. Scroll to Elements Positioning section and try to disable any enabled item (for example, Featured Image). It disappears in my intallation (even in a fresh installation)

    Hello @djintelbe,

This option is what you’ve explained. This is not a bug.
By disabling it, the images will be hidden, and by enabling it, they will be displayed. So, this option is expected to work like this. If you want to show images, ensure the option is enabled.

Please note: my username is “@skalanter.” If you use @ + shahin, then you’ll mention someone else. Kindly use the correct mention if you want to mention someone.
    Thank you for understanding.

    I hope it helps.

Thanks for correcting me. I will be careful when mentioning people from now on.

The issue is that, when disable Featured Image for example, it do not hide (as expected to work) but it DISAPPEARS (you cannot see it again to enable it). This is what happens if Tutor LMS plugin is enable.

    Hello @djintelbe,

    Sorry for the misunderstanding,

Now I got what you mean, you meant the option will hide itself, not the functionality of that option. It seems your third-party plugin has a very general styling(actually script) that affects Elements Positioning, please check this screenshot: https://postimg.cc/Sj47qCBr.

You might want to contact the author of the third-party plugin, as the issue seems to stem from there.

Also, you can deactivate the plugin,
Then build those sections with Element Positioning, and save your changes,
    After that, activate the plugin.

    I hope that helps.
    Best Regards
