I have created a powerpress playlist. The shortcode I am using is [[powerpress_playlist limit=250 style=custom links=true images=featured category=radio]. Is there any way to use the featured image in the actual post as the image that is used in the player instead of the podcast main image? If so, how do I write the shortcode for that? I attempted to use images=featured, but that didn’t work.

    Thank you.

I don’t think there’s any way to achieve what you’re trying to do but I’ve asked the Blubrry dev team to look at your question, just in case. A response will be posted here as soon as they’ve had a chance to do so.

The dev team confirmed that there’s no way to set the featured image automatically as the image used by the PowerPress Playlist Player.

    Hello @jamesmillerlifeology,

This is a great idea, we have added it to our dev TODO list.

You can achieve the same goal by setting an iTunes image per episode. You may not want to do this however as this image will also appear in search results on iTunes.

To enable, go to PowerPress settings > Episode tab, enable the option “iTunes image” then click save. Now when you edit your episodes you can also upload an iTunes episode image.

The playlist player will use the episode itunes image if set.

    Thanks,
    Angelo
