featured image from portfolio page

    If I am understanding the logic correctly:

    1. an image will appear in the grid on the home page if the featured image is set on the portfolio page – this is the navigation linkage between the home page image and the portfolio page

    2. the featured image is displayed at the top of the portfolio page

    How can I have the featured image from the portfolio page appear on the home page but not have the featured image displayed on the portfolio page? The featured image takes up space and distracts from the other content I want to display on the portfolio page.

    Hello,

    Yes you are correct.

    Just to be sure here, when you say “portfolio page”, do you mean the portfolio page template or are you talking about the page where you are viewing one single portfolio item?

    If it’s the latter, I would advise you to create a child theme, add the template-parts/content-single-portfolio.php file and edit out olevia_print_post_thumbnail() the function to remove it completely.
    (I assume you have some knowledge in coding.)

    I have the same problem, and I don’t have knowledge in coding, but I’m following WordPress instruction to create a child theme. Could you show me your ‘functions.php’ in your child theme directory encoding to get to activate it in my website without problems?
