    I think this is your theme that’s including the featured image and stretching the image rather than EM, given it’s wrapped in various div and span tags.

    e.g. in your single event page format, did you try using angelonwl’s suggested placeholder?

    Yes, First thing I tried. It resulted in both images showing. One giant stretched featured image and the sized image. Sound like the theme..In regular posts and pages, there is a radio box to turn off the featured image in the post.

    Also, I have been having trouble with the other custom post types that came with the MySiteMyWay theme since installing EM. I noticed in another post you recommended refreshing and saving permalinks–which I already tried– but what do you mean by changing the “em”

    one thing you could do r.e. images is e.g. copy your theme’s page.php and rename it to single-event.php, and then remove the HTML/PHP which generates the image. not 100% certain this will work since each theme can take a different approach.
