The only difference between these environments is the mentioned update of this plugin.

Regarding image optimization, we’re using Smush as well as WebP Express. I tried to deactivate those, but it didn’t change anything.

From what I see, both of the versions doesn’t show the featured images and both of them are on 0.9.97.50.1

If you could apply the latest update on the staging, then It would help me see the difference?
