Featured Image in Sketch Theme

I am trying to figure out how to make featured images square 1:1 in the Sketch theme. I’ve updated everything I can find and they are still 4:3 and come out as wide rectangles. Anyone know how to fix this or a plugin that can override this setting? I love everything else about this theme and really don’t want to change it.
