FEATURED IMAGE is getting squashed again

  • I had specifically set WP to /not/ squish my preview (“featured”) images and have learned to live with having them chopped.

    Now new posts seem to be getting squashed again.

    Does anyone know how to check these settings and whether there are one, two or more necessary to control this?

    I am using the F8 theme.
