Featured Image Meta Box is no woring for WordPress 5.0

  • After I update to WordPress 5.0, I discover the External Featured Images disappears from the sidebar in the editing page. That means I cannot use the external link to add the feature image. Could you please give me some pointers to fix it.

    Hi! Thanks or getting in touch. We know that the external featured images meta box is not working in the new Gutenberg editor (yet). We’re still trying to figure out the best way to implement it… in the meantime, you can use the old editor and everything should work just fine: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/classic-editor/

    Has the Featured Image functionality been fixed? On my latest post, “Set Featured Image” does not appear under Featured Image — there just isn’t anything there.

    The recommendation to use the old editor was made months ago. Do I still need to use the old editor?
