Featured Image Metabox in posts has disappeared

  • HELP,

    After upgrading to the latest version, my “Featured Image” box in my posts page is now missing. Furthermore, when I add an image, the link to “Set as Featured Image” is also missing.

    I’ve tried deactivating all of my plugins, and done everything I know to do, but it’s still missing. Please help!

  • Have you tried:

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.
